Aware that education is a powerful lever for ecological and societal transformation, NEOMA is determined to contribute fully to this process. Our 2023-2027 Strategic Plan confirms the central role of sustainability in its various forms, as a global challenge that concerns us all.
The School has therefore adopted a policy on social and environmental transition with a view to changing its practices in the management of its campuses and programmes and setting an example as an organisation that is fully aware of ecological and societal issues. This policy is based on five key areas:
1- STRATEGY AND GOVERNANCE: A TSE governance structure has been established to implement our strategy. Follow-up and review meetings with stakeholders are held to monitor the action plan, assess progress, identify obstacles, and adjust initiatives as necessary. Dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) are used to measure and document our progress.
2- EDUCATION AND TEACHING: An academic vision is deployed regarding curriculum content related to SDG-CSR, with two goals:
3- RESEARCH AND INNOVATION: Research activities related to TSE are directly integrated into the work conducted within the Centres of Excellence. For example, the “The World We Want” Centre of Excellence addresses the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) aimed at building a better future, organised into several thematic sub-groups: inclusion, equality and diversity; social entrepreneurship; responsible finance; development of sustainable practices; health and well-being.
4- ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY: NEOMA has developed a sustainable campus strategy with practical initiatives aligned with the School’s strategic goals, such as a Climate and Environmental Management Strategy – implementing carbon assessments across the three scopes and emission reduction strategies – as well as the High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification of campuses to comply with the highest environmental standards in renovation and construction.
5- SOCIAL POLICY: NEOMA’s social policy demonstrates strong commitment, prioritising diversity and inclusion, implementing enhanced protections against GenderBased and Sexual Violence (GBSV), significantly increasing scholarship funding, and offering full tuition coverage for level-7 scholarship students since the 2024–2025 academic year
To implement this policy, NEOMA has set up a Social and Environmental Transition Department, which reports to the Student Experience and Sustainable Transition Division.
In June 2024, the School obtained the DD&RS (Sustainable Development & Social Responsibility) label for a period of four years, which recognises the efforts made in this area by French higher education and research institutions.
